Staying Strong In Crisis – By Shivaa NGO

As I write this, we’ve got all been asked to shelter in situ, staying home the maximum amount as possible, due to the pandemic. This puts pressure on both individuals, who could also be very alone now, and couples, who is also battling needing alone time and space. most are worried, and feeling stressed. Here’s a way to stay strong during this crisis.

1. To remain strong, stay connected to colleagues, friends and relations. Although you will not be able to be in personal and physical contact with people you care about, you’ll still use the phonephone, video, FaceTime and other technology to work out and talk with those that are near you. You and your colleagues can talk and support one another through this crisis.

2. Take time to know what you are feeling and experiencing. If you’re having emotional reactions that don’t seem to be normal to you, like angry outbursts or anxiety, take your time to feel the emotions. do not be afraid to cry or express what you are feeling. If you can, write it down. It’s amazing how writing down your fears makes them more manageable.

3. Discuss with others who understand, and allow them to understand how you are feeling and discover how they’re feeling. Don’t just say you’re “fine” when someone asks. allow them to know the way you’re doing for real, and understand about them. You’ll feel lots better after sharing and learning that others are having the identical struggles. If you have got children, play with them, and discuss how everyone feels.

4. Attempt to get your time outdoors, whether or not it’s in your own back yard or a close-by park. Being around grass, trees and flowers helps relieve tension. Just keep your distance from others.

5. If you’ve got a pet, cuddle with it. Petting a dog or cat can reduce stress, lower pressure and provides you a mental break.

6. Ask a psychological state professional. whether or not it is a phone or video session, talking with a mental state professional can facilitate your understand your feelings and manage stress.

8. Move: Walk around your yard or outdoors, as long as you’re staying distant from others. Walking rhythmically for ten or fifteen minutes can provide you with an opportunity to relax and de-stress.

9. Play soothing music: Angry rock or rap will probably not help, but soothing music, either classical, meditative or upbeat can help reduce your stress lots.
