Agriculture and Climate Resilience
Agriculture is more than a source of livelihood for tribal communities. It is deeply connected to their identity, culture and way of life. However, farming households today face growing challenges arising from climate variability, declining soil fertility, water scarcity and increasing uncertainty in agricultural productivity. These challenges not only impact incomes but also influence food security and long-term community wellbeing.
SHIVAA works closely with farming communities to build resilient agricultural systems that support both people and the environment. Through orchard development, sustainable farming practices, agroforestry, intercropping and climate-responsive cultivation techniques, the organization helps farmers create multiple income streams while improving the productivity and health of their land. By combining traditional agricultural wisdom with practical innovation, SHIVAA is enabling communities to adapt to changing environmental conditions while strengthening long-term economic resilience
