Our Story 2020-2025

Home / About

Between 2021 and 2025, SHIVAA continued to strengthen its engagement with tribal communities in Wada Taluka through a mix of community support initiatives, development programmes, and grassroots outreach. Each year, the organisation reached over 6,000 community members through need-based support and community engagement efforts, including access to essential household items, educational materials, nutrition support, bicycles, and other resources for children, women, and vulnerable families. Alongside this, SHIVAA regularly conducted village-level workshops, awareness sessions, volunteer-led activities, and community events that helped build trust, participation, and stronger local connections.

During this period, SHIVAA also expanded its work across agriculture, education, women’s empowerment, and youth development. With support from partners such as YES Foundation, the organisation implemented farmer-focused initiatives that included training programmes, sapling distribution, and intercropping seed support to strengthen sustainable farming and livelihood resilience. SHIVAA also established a computer lab at its campus and has since provided free digital literacy classes to over 100 students, while its sports initiative has engaged children in regular Kabaddi training and other structured activities. Additional efforts such as skill-building workshops for women, community trainings, and volunteering engagements with college students further strengthened SHIVAA’s community-led approach to development.
